Captured Bf 110C, formerly of 4(F)/14
repaired and flown by the RAF, 1940-45

This aircraft originally served with Aufklarungsgruppe14, a reconaissance unit. Coded "5F+CM", it was shot down by RAF Hurricanes near Goodwood. It was repaired by the Royal Aeronautical Establishment (RAE) and flown extensively at Farnborough.

It was later transferred to No. 1426 Flight in 1942 and used to familiarize Allied pilots with German aircraft and tactics.

It was repainted after capture in standard British finish for prototypical and captured aircraft under test, with dark green and brown over upper surfaces, and yellow undersurfaces
