11/14/2002 - The Danish version of the Fokker D21 is now ready for download. PLease remember that these are beta aircraft, so check back from time to time, there will be updates!
Well, got a wild hair, and made me a Fokker D.21. I'd always kind of planned on it, always found this to be a cute little airplane, but really didn't think I'd be doing it any time soon. Then - BAM! - there it was!
This aircraft is designed to be a multi-res AI aircraft, to serve as an opponent to my repaints of James Grimes' Me 110. I am learning to use FSDS version 2, so this bird will have breaking parts and all those goodies, but in the meantime you'll just have to be satisfied with pretty looks. Do not mix the Danish and Dutch versions, as the visual models differ somewhat, the Danish version carrying different standard equipment than the Dutch version.
This aircraft is flyable, though I have not included much of a virtual cockpit, and there is no panel. The .AIR file has been custom-tailored to this aircraft by Jerry Beckwith, one of the "1% Guys" at the 714th. If anybody would like to do a panel or anything else, I'd certainly welcome it. This was a "quick project" for me, with under 200 hours invested. I had not originally considered making it flyable, so the virtual cockpit is very much a work in progress. Check back for updates.
I plan on releasing this is two flavors, Dutch and Danish, with a Finnish version (or two) to follow.
Enjoy!
