A Repaint by Alain Navarro
Fw-190D-9 Black "14" of Stab/JG 26
Winter/Spring 1945

History:
This aircraft, marked as Black "14" of the Stab/JagdGeschwader 26, has been alleged by some sources to be the last Fw-190 of Oberst Josef "Pipps" Priller. Josef Priller joined the Luftwaffe in 1937, serving with JG 51 at the start of the war. In November of 1940 he was transferred to JG 26 as commander of the first staffel. Now Oberleutnant Priller, he would stay with JG 26 for the next 4 years, eventually becoming the Geschwader Kommodore (commander) in 1943. On June 6, 1944, Priller and his wingman, Heinz Wodarczyk, were the first Luftwaffe aircraft to overfly the Allied beachhead at Normandy. They were also the only Luftwaffe aircraft over the beaches that first day of the invasion. By January of 1945 he had racked up 101 victories, all in the West. On January 28th, he was appointed Inspector of Fighters West, and spent the rest of the war on administrative duty.
Black "14" was captured at war's end, and was included in the aircraft brought to America by Operation "Lusty", receiving the identification FE-119 At Freeman Field. The eventual fateof this aircraft is unknown.
Alain Navarro made these repaints based upon his own research and information, and so I will not comments on colors and markings.
Thanks to Alain Navarro for providing the textures for this repaint. Any questions or comments can be directed to him at alain.navarro2@wanadoo.fr. If you enjoy them, please be sure to send him a note and tell him that. Thanks!

They may not be used in any commercial package or project, nor may they be sold or altered for any purpose without the express permission of the authors. This is my blood and sweat, if I'm not going to make any money off it, nobody else is either!

I do not guarantee that this plane will work on your system. It works on mine, sorry but everyone else has to figure it out for themselves. It was designed using the best information I could find that it would be compatible, and at the very least cause no harm, but I offer no warrantees. Your computer blows up, you are on your own.
This archive contains only model and texture files. Jumo sound package version 1.1 and Dora Cockpit Panel version 1.0 are available as separate downloads for these aircraft. Alternatively, you can either alias them to your favorite CFS2 stock plane, or another Fw 190D already installed on your computer. The .DP file references weapons included in a separate Dora weapons pack version 1.2.
