First, I must thank Dave Carroll, for allowing me to adapt his Lockheed Hudson to CFS2, sharing his .FSC file, and providing research materials on the Lockheed Hudson. He did a great of capturing the essence of the Lockheed Hudson, and though I have added details and parts for different sub-types, I have made relatively few corrections to the basic model.
Thanks to Tony Marinac who painted some of the skins for these aircraft. A special thanks to Jerry Beckwith of the "1% Guys" over at avhistory.org for all his efforts in creating an excellent .AIR and AIRCRAFT.CFG ile for this Lockheed Hudson model. I think he has done an excellent job of capturing the feel of this aircraft. Thanks to Gray ("High Mountain") for his work on the VC and 2D panels. I am also indebted to Mike Wagner for allowing me to use his excellent gauges with this model. Thanks to Guy Boullenger and Luca Mengotti for getting me involved in this project in the first place and for help with research, and thanks to Daniel Leahy for providing information on RAAF Hudsons. Thanks also to Guy Boullenger for including the Hudson in his Milne Bay Campaign, and encouragement and help with some of the "bits". Thanks also to all the beta testers, with all their helpful comments and suggestions.
Thanks to the folks at Freeflight Design Forum for their help and patience answering my endless questions. Thanks to Dave Eckert for his great tutorials and also for his pilot figure. Thanks to the folks at Netwings and Sim Out-House Combat FLight Center for providing all of us with an open forum to discuss and exchange ideas, and to the community there for its support and encouraging words. Thanks to my fellow designers for your suggestions and help, and to all the other great people who have offered an encouraging word. Thanks to Louis Sinclair for his help and for FSDS, thanks to Konstantin Kukushkin for AA, and thanks to Mike Crosthwaite for SDLEdit, all indispensible tools. Thanks to all who write all the little utility programs. Thanks also to Microsoft, who continues to develop Flight Sim and Combat Flight Sim (though I would really appreciate better documentation the next time around!)
I know I've forgotten some of you, but know that it was purely unintentional, it is just that so many folks have offered assistance, suggestions and encouragement that I am simply overwhelmed.
Any inaccuracies or errors are strictly my responsibility. This product is a freeware offering to the flight sim community. It may not be sold or supplied for any monitary consideration, either alone or as part of a package. I encourage repaints, but ask that the original files remain on my site where they are free for all to download. I do not guarantee that this plane will work on your system. It works on mine, sorry but everyone has to figure it out for themselves. It was designed using the best information I could find that it would be compatible with most any system, and at the very least cause no harm.
Enjoy!
